Relevant Voices/
Social Action Committee
The purpose of the Relevant Voices Committee is to provide input on how MWP can grow and expand our awareness/knowledge on issues related to social justice, diversity, systemic racism, equity, accessibility for members, clients, and the community. The committee looks to partner with organizations doing social justice work in the community, as well as organize opportunities for MWP members to take part in community and volunteering events and grow their knowledge and awareness through trainings and CEUs.
Relevant Voices also encourages the larger MWP membership to share resources in the weekly eBlast to make sure that voices, cultures, and communities are not being left out. The goal of Relevant Voices weekly resource is to center voices that are not heard as often or given the opportunity to be heard as much in society, as well as to share resources that help us better understand and learn about cultures and communities that we may not know as much about.
